A Viral Campaign

The companies name is Camping for All.

The concept for a viral video would be this; I would like to have various types of animals out in the wilderness camping as if they were humans. These animals would be using Camping for All’s equipment such as their tents, lanterns, and sleeping bags. The animals would be talking as if that’s how they really live, sitting around a fire cracking jokes. I would even like to have them all wearing hiking boots. The concept would be that if Camping for All’s products are good enough for the animals who live out here in the wilderness on a daily basis then it should be good enough for us as humans who go camping every once in awhile for fun. After all their name is Camping for All not Camping for Humans.

Although I cant think of any right off the top of my head I’m sure that talking animals have been used in other ad campaigns to sell products. I don’t think it has ever been taken to this extent though showing the animals living as actual humans.

I think a viral video like this could connect with any type of demographic being that showing talking animals living like people sitting around cracking jokes is funny. The college kids that seem to be Camping for All’s main shoppers would be attracted to it because it is funny and it would also attract families to the video because their kids will look at the animals as mascots.

To help link all the social media groups together for Camping for All the commercial would direct customers to their website. From their website you would be able to link to all of their social media outlets such as their blog, Facebook, and Twitter page. I think to make the animals from the commercial feel more real and give them more of a personality of their own, Camping for All should give them their own Facebook and Twitter pages, which people can become friends and follow them. This would give Camping for All’s website and company a fun atmosphere about them.  The animals actually tweet stuff and post product information on their Facebook making them seem even more like real people. Also on the Camping for All webpage people should have access to watch more videos from the animals when they sign up for email newsletter, this should help the company with their email conversion rate and also boost traffic to their webpage. The more traffic they can get on their website the more likely they are to make sales.

People of all cultures like to camp and use out door equipment. So using these animals to convey the company message should help attract more people than a commercial with a normal guy and his family camping would.  The fact that these animals will have their own social media sites will help make the company more interactive and will also keep people more interested so they will be checking back in more often. This will give the company more opportunities to show them products and make sales.

A viral campaign like this should help boost sales for the company as well as achieve their goals of more conversions through their email marketing. The company would be more interactive and have a fun personality about it. This campaign should also help to attract lots of new customers that they did not have before from all walks of life.
